The
Hagstirr™ Multi-Prop Yacht Launcher is a revolutionary
new idea for the yachting industry and will replace today's current
technology. The current tech was invented approximately 150 years
ago. This will be an industry standard for all of today's leading
yacht and power train manufacturers.
Currently a yacht propulsion system consist of an engine, transmission, prop shaft, and propeller. The stanchion that is used under the boat to hold the prop shaft consists of a brass arm containing a brass bearing with a rubber insert, which causes friction and robs the drive train of power.

"What a great idea!!! This will save fuel and increase trip range ... We build Sportfishing boats up to 32' that are outfitted with single screw diesel engines; The Hagstirr's counter rotation props will actually make the vessel maneuverable in reverse with no side tork from the prop."
- Joe Carter President of Farallon Boats
The Hagstirr™ replaces the
stanchion and utilized the engines torque and multiplies the amount
of water flow. The yacht then becomes significantly faster and uses
less fuel with the same horsepower further extending the range of
the yacht. By adapting a multi-prop system to a single prop design,
the yacht becomes significantly more efficient. The
Hagstirr™ also uses state of the art materials
to reduce drag while efficiently using the engines
torque.
"We manufacture small fishing boats but I have a Sportfishing boat that we fish with ... This looks like a fantastic piece of equipment!!! How much are they and when can I have one?"
- Tom Ayers of Wrangler Boats
The Hagstirr™ comes in several different designs to accommodate different hull designs and horsepower levels. The basic design is a stationary unit that consists of one to three props that can directly replace current models. The 3 prop design contains a speed prop running at 3000 RPM's while the counter rotating 2nd and 3rd props run at a thundering 6000 RPM's.
"We have no problem making horsepower, the problem we have is getting enough surface area on the prop to push the water. There is only so much room under there... It looks like this would work!"
- Unnamed Engine Manufacturer
Level II takes the Hagstirr™ and implements a hydraulic trim attachment and makes the boat plane better. Yachts typically plane poorly by plowing through the water causing drag. By adjusting the prop pitch level, the yacht is launched out of the water, enabling faster speeds and increased fuel efficiency.
The Hagstirr can be implemented with a reverse gear and no more transmission is needed on your yacht. Hagan Marine also has the “Fluid Dampner” that attaches directly to the engine while eliminating noise and vibration from the engine and prop shaft.
